In light of regulatory developments in Canada, Bittrex Global is required to take steps to restrict access to certain products on its platform by Canadian Users and is unable to onboard new Canadian Users.
A “Canadian User” is a Bittrex Global user that has completed Bittrex Global’s user on-boarding process using a photo identification document showing a Canadian address.
The products in question are:
- Tokenized stocks
- Direct token sales or token launches
- Products sold on prediction markets (including binary options)
- Leveraged tokens
- Volatility tokens

Requirement to wind down and close out
With effect from May 31, 2022, Canadian Users will only be able to wind down or close out their positions in any of the products listed above.
Deadline for close-out and settlement
Canadian Users are required to close out their positions in any of these products by June 14, 2022 and settle those positions by July 14, 2022.
