After you have successfully created your account, you will need to verify your identity.
Identity Verification is required to open a Bittrex Global account to comply with "Know-Your-Customer" or "KYC" regulations. It is also extremely important to us at Bittrex Global for three main reasons:

Safety: to protect our users against theft, fraud, and abuse of the Bittrex Global platform

Compliance: to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, U.S. economic sanctions laws, and other legal and regulatory requirements

Ethics: to make sure our services are not used to launder money, support terrorism, commit fraud or other illegal activities

- After creating your account, in the same session, the next page should show "What you'll need for this next step." Scroll down and tap Continue.
Note:
If you are returning to the app after a previous session where you created your account but not yet verified your identity, you should see a pop up that says "Wait!..." and you can tap Finish Sign-Up.
- Select an approved ID type. Expand the next section below for an updated list of supported documents.
- Tap Take photo.
- Tap Start.
- Tap Allow to give the app access to your mobile device's camera.
- Take a live photo of the front and back of your ID.
- If there are any issues with the photo(s), you will be prompted to take them again. Once you have taken clear photos and the entire ID is visible and readable, tap Confirm.
- Tap Start.
- Tap Allow to give the app access to your mobile device's camera.
- Take a selfie by aligning your face inside of the oval on the screen.
- Wait a moment while your ID is verified, then tap Continue.
We strongly suggest having a mobile device on hand for this method also.
Note:
We use a third party software to analyze all documents and photos submitted for Identity Verification to your Bittrex account. Beginning January 9, 2023, this software will no longer support the Internet Explorer browser for Web users.

Note:
If you are returning to the site after a previous session where you created your account but have not yet verified your identity, simply log in to your account and you should be directed to the Identity Verification page. If not, go to My Account > My Profile > Account Verification > Finish your verification.
- Select an approved ID type. Refer to this article for an updated list of supported documents.
- Choose your upload method.
Note:
Mobile device cameras tend to take better photos than computer webcams. For best results, select Continue on mobile.
- Scan the QR code with your mobile device.
- Continue identity verification from your mobile device by following the on-screen instructions.
- The verification information will be sent from your mobile device to your computer.
- Return to your computer, and wait a moment while your ID is verified, then click Continue.
- After creating your account, in the same session, the next page should show "What you'll need for this next step." Select your country and click Continue.
