Google Authenticator is the app we most recommend for setting up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Bittrex Global account. You can download Google Authenticator for free on your iOS or Android device.
- Open the app and tap Get Started.
- Option 1: Tap Scan a QR code.
Then use your mobile device to scan the QR code on your computer screen.
Note:
To get the QR code, log in to your Bittrex Global account on the web version, go to My Account > Two-Factor Authentication.
- Option 2: Tap Enter a setup key.
Enter an account name and your Security Key from your Bittrex Global account, then tap Add.
Note:
To get the security key, log in to your Bittrex Global account on the web version, go to My Account > Two-Factor Authentication.
- After scanning the QR code or entering your Security Key, a 6-digit authentication code will appear on the mobile device screen. Tap the code to copy it if needed.
Note:
The code will expire in 30 seconds. If the first code you copy expires, you will need to copy the next code.
- Open the app.
- In the bottom right corner, tap on the + icon.
- Option 1: Tap Scan a QR code.
Then use your mobile device to scan the QR code on your computer screen.
